The land identified for building an international airport in Haridwar is located between Bahadrabad and (Patanjali Yoga pith).

According to the administration, the land on the left side of the toll plaza is the most suitable for the airport. Around 1100 Hectares of land has been identified here.

Some of the land here is government-owned, while some belongs to private farmers. The administration has prepared a complete report on the land and sent the file to the government, and a decision is expected soon.

Hill districts of the state outside the Smart City project will be given the gift of new cities. According to the Urban Development Department, there is a proposal to develop four locations in Doon as new cities. The survey work for the plan is in its final stage. The names of the new cities will be announced soon. Two new cities may be developed as smart cities in the plains, and one each in the hilly regions.

Four Townships Will be Built in Doon.

The Urban Development Minister said that the construction of new townships will help address issues such as the increasing population pressure and traffic problems in cities. For this purpose, the construction of four townships is also proposed in Dehradun. The minister added that the annual budget of the Uttarakhand Housing and Urban Development Authority has also been approved.
